BeautyCoffee, Vanilla and the Appeal of Comforting Perfume
By Andrea Hills
A colour exercise for the days when every option feels equally possible.

Start with one colour in your outfit and decide whether you want to echo it or contrast with it. The aim is a coherent mood, not an exact match between every surface.
With a richly coloured knit, you might choose a softer lip colour and let the clothing remain the focus. With a simple neutral outfit, you may prefer a more visible lip or an expressive eye look. Both are styling options rather than rules.
Look at the combination in the light where you will spend time. A colour can appear different beside a white shirt, a dark collar or a warm scarf; that relationship is part of the finished look.
Use products you already know and follow their instructions. There is no product review or performance promise here, just a way of narrowing a visual choice.
If you like the result, save a quick note or photo with the outfit. It can make getting ready for a similar occasion easier next time.
