LivingAn afternoon with nothing to prove.
By Sara Tilla
A few flowers, a favourite cup, a morning that belongs to you. Small pleasures count.

There is a lovely kind of care in doing something simply because you will enjoy it. Putting flowers in a jug. Using the plate you usually save. Opening the window while you make your first cup of coffee.
These gestures do not have to become habits to track or evidence of a better life. They can happen once, on a day when you have the time, and still be worthwhile.
Notice one small thing that would make today more pleasant. Choose it if you can. There need not be a larger lesson, a photograph or a reason beyond the pleasure itself.
